O Praise the Lord all ye nations, praise him all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord. ___________________________________________________________ John 3:16-17 John 3:16 sums up the message of the entire Bible. John 3:17 counters many non-Christians' view that "It doesn't make sense to me that God would send me to Hell if I don't except Christ. And I don't even believe in sin." They unfortunately have a mistaken and distorted view both of God and of reality. God is love, and everything good comes from God. Hell is eternal separation from God, and therefore also from all love and everything good. God is perfect, and we are not. The Greek word in the New Testament for sin is hamartia, which means missing the mark. Do they think that they are perfect? Ask them, and they will say that no, they do not think that. None of us being perfect, we are all separated from God and cannot come into His perfect presence. God sent His Son to die for our sins, our imperfections, so that we could come back to God, have a personal relationship with Him, and be with Him, both now and for all eternity. If we do not want to be with God now, He will not force us to be with Him for all eternity. John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the World, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved." -John 3:16-17 ____________________________________________________________ See Also:
