"Book by Book": Old Testament An ongoing series on the books of the Bible with Co-Hosts Richard Bewes and Paul Blackham of All Souls Church, London The book of Psalms is constructed and arranged in a brilliant way, and the sequence of Psalms covered in these programs is one of the most fascinating in the entire book. From Psalm 20 we are approaching the death of the Messiah, set out so powerfully in Psalm 22. We are taken through the Resurrection in Psalm 23 and the Ascension in Psalm 24. Psalm 25 expresses the sinner's confidence in the ascended Messiah, then from Psalm 26-31 we listen in to the Messiah's great prayers in His suffering. These are precious Psalms because we are listening to the only One who can really teach us to pray. The six programs covers selected chapters of Psalms as follows:
